Apple has always been and is increasingly becoming an extreme capitalistic corporate body. The iPad, like virtually all major Apple products, is overpriced and under specced. apple is typical of a commercial enterprise. I attended an official lecture recently by Richard Stallman, the Free Software Foundation advocate, who aligned Apple along the same lines as Microsoft.
